Fun with Fractions

 
In this topic, students explored fractions through comparing, plotting on number lines, finding equivalencies, and converting to whole numbers.

They worked through task card activities, as shown below, mazes, "Fraction War", and much more.

To begin a lesson on equivalent fractions on a number line, students created a large scale number line with eighths, fourths, and halves.

Towards the end of the topic, students worked in partners to complete a set of 14 task cards. They worked through problems that covered material from the entire topic.
